READ! Singapore is the largest national reading campaign in Singapore, which aims to inspire all age groups to read more (fiction). The National Library Board (NLB) is in charge of this campaign,which promotes public reading, festivals and other reading-focused activities , in Chinese, English, Malay and Tamil.

kidsREAD!

kidsREAD! was launched as a national campaign in 2004 on the occasion of the World Day of books (April 23), in order to familiarise children aged four too eight years with books and reading. It particularly aims at children from less educated backgrounds. Reding clubs have been established where volunteers trained by the National Library Board work with children.

Library@orchard is a national reading campaign addressing the age group of 18 to 35 year-olds, successful urban people. The library is situated in a shopping mall frequently visited by the target group and media such as cartoons (and te Internet) are used to render reading attractive.

The Asian Children`s Festival (ACF) has been celebrated annually since 2001, and is organised by the National Library Board Singapore. It aims to familiarise children aged three to 17 years with Asian culture and inspire them to read. The website provides the programme and contact data.
