The Swiss Reading Night

The project aims to inspire fifth and sixth formers by sending a classroom set of 30 books in two backkpacks on a voyage along with a logfile, the books being of varying topics and degrees of difficulty, and passing them on to the next class.

A project by the Swiss Institute for Child and Youth Media aimed at inspiring ten year old children to read. Swiss list of reading recommendations (`reading for fun`)

The books can be used in lessons, but also in free reading hours, projects and workshops. Project is managed by the Swiss Institute for Child and Youth Media.

Jeweils am zweiten Freitag im November findet die “Schweizer Erzählnacht“ statt, in diesem Jahr unter dem Motto: Im Geschichtenwald“ – „Dans la forêt des histoires“ – „Nel bosco delle storie“ – „En il guaud da las istorgias“. Schulklassen, Bibliotheken, Buchhandlungen und Lesezirkel sind in jedem Jahr eingeladen, das jeweilige Motto zu inszenieren.
